The philips hdtv antenna...not worth the headaches!
Two neighbors of mine, Jim who lives behind me and Tony who lives just across the street from me both tried 2 different models from Philips!
The Mant950 and the PHDTV1

My trial and errors in finding this antenna will convince you more than what you will save on them here than from any other place!
Believe me, those "bar" type philips hdtv antennas that fasten underneath your over-hang and the type that you set on top your tv... DON'T WORK!... I tried the “bar” type HDTV antenna earlier last year and both my other neighbors each tried 2 different brand names of the old fashion type antennas! My brother tried the hdtv antenna from Philips that you set up on top your HDTV. He would get maybe 2 channels at one given position and would rotate the antenna not even a 1/4" of a turn and one would drop out.
I actually convinced 3 people to return the philips hdtv antenna they had bought!
Well not really... I just went over to my brothers house which is about 60 miles further out than me with a Db8 which is a step up from the one I use to own...the Db4 and installed it on his house. He's a big sports fanatic...he loved it!... not having to get off the couch everytime he would change the channel to turn his little philips hdtv antenna in a different position!!
My other 2 neighbors as of right now are waiting on their "Clearstream 2" antenna to arrive in the mail. This newly released antenna replaced the db4 which I did own at first. The "Clearstream 2" recieved ALL my stations while I was still holding it in my hands just pointing it in the general direction!...All the others I tried I had my son in front of the tv...me on the roof talking to him on my cell phone while I was adjusting the antenna for him to tell me over the phone "Ok, you have channels 2 and 4 coming in but you lost channels 5, 11 and 30...turn it a little more" They also thought it was kinda cool looking on my roof.
Does anyone I know own a Philips hdtv antenna...nope!
After going through all of this and in the end me being the one to find the best hdtv antenna...a lot of people in my subdivision are ordering the "Clearstream 2" hd antenna model now. Word gets around! So does the philips hdtv antenna performance.
