Product Description

DB8 HDTV Antenna

Attention: We have noticed that many of our customers are choosing the CS1, CS2, CS4, DB4 and DB8 or the 4221HD or 4228HD antennas. They are all exceptional antennas! We must mention though that these models will not "see" VHF frequencies. You must realize that almost ALL TV markets across the nation have at least 1-2 channels (usually major networks) broadcasting on the VHF band. With this in mind, a VHF antenna must be incorporated with your antenna set up. If you are unsure in choosing what's right for your location please feel free to contact us or call 1-877-740-8484 for your proper antenna set up. We want our customers to get it right the first time!

The DB8 Antenna

Intended for people at great distances from the transmitters, the DB8 is our most powerful multi-directional HD antenna. In fact, its 15.8 dB gain make it one of the most powerful multi-directional antennas available.

The bow tie design of the DB8 uses triangular elements instead of rods to greatly increase the bandwidth allowing it to cover the entire UHF band. Additionally, the mesh reflector of the bowtie is more efficient than a rod reflector, is lower in weight, and provides less wind resistance for greater performance and durability.

This DB8 is the ideal antenna for use in locations that can pull long range signals from various directions and offers an attractive alternative to using a directional antenna mounted on a rotator.

  2. the one and only best rural antenna!

Posted by Gary Harter on 16th Feb 2009

after searching the web for a "smart" digital antenna, I found the DB8 and ordered it on the spot. The selling factor being the strength of 70 plus miles, was exactly what I needed. I live on the Mississippi river and have no cable service. I tried my old antenna after I bought my converter box and got 7 channels. After the very easy installation of the DB8, I started recieving 19 digital channels instantly!! I cannot say enough about how happy I am with this perfect product. I have told all the other river rats and they are starting to order their own. I have already received a $5.00 credit to my account for refferal. Good product and good people, what more can we ask for this day in age?

  3. I highly recommend this antenna

Prior to purchasing this antenna we had Direct TV and used an HD antenna that mounted to the back of the dish to receive our local channels. We recently decided to cancel our service with Direct TV and just use the antenna. We live in Newark, DE and our local stations are broadcasted from Philadelphia which is about 45 miles away. The antenna on the dish worked ok in analog but the digital reception would intermittently break up. I decided to upgrade our antenna to one that had better range for digital broadcast since the digital transition WAS suppose to happen in Feb. We chose to go with the DB8 HDTV Antenna because it seems to fit our needs based on the description. It was easy to assemble and was easily mounted to the post on the side of our house where the satellite dish was mounted. We hooked it up to a splitter so we could use two TV’s and it works SO much better than our old antenna. We had a digital signal strength of about 40-50% from our old antenna and now its 80-90+%. The HD channels wouldn’t work for us before because they needed more than 40% signal strength. Now that we can see them the broadcast HD channels actually look better with our antenna than they did with satellite. I highly recommend this antenna for anyone who lives further away from their local broadcasting towers. This antenna is great for analog and digital reception even when split to two TV’s. I am very happy with the DB8 HDTV Antenna. Highly recommend!

  4. Pleasantly surprised!

I was skeptical about buying yet ANOTHER antenna after trying a couple Philips and Terk models, and I really didn't want to go with cable or satellite because I didn't need all those extra channels. I live outside of Bodega Bay in California, and the reception with the other antennas was pretty bad as the signal kept cutting in and out... right smack in the middle of American Idol!

Well, I figured I didn't have anything to lose but a few dollars, and I am glad that I took the chance and found this antenna. It is absolutely - hands down - the best antenna I have used thus far, and I seriously doubt I will ever need another antenna again. It was very easy to set up, and customer service was excellent. The shipping fee was very reasonable, and it didn't take forever for the antenna to arrive.

I highly recommend this antenna and buying from this site. Thank you for making my shows interruption-free!

  5. The DB-8 is working great!

Posted by Dan D. on 8th Nov 2008

"Thanks once again for the outstanding customer service and follow up on my order. The DB-8 is working great! I had a Trek brand antenna that I replaced with the DB-8 and the signal strength has improved by over 25%. I also wanted to thank you for taking the time to answer all my questions prior to my purchase to make sure I got the right antenna for my needs.

Again, thanks for the attention to detail and service that you have shown and best of luck in the future."

    Sincerely,
